The fifth edition of the 2006 Tactical Leadership Programme started also with a lot of sunny days. Some nice and rare participants where gathered for this fifth TLP edition at Florennes. A very nice mix of Greek and Norwegian F-16's, Italian AMX's, F-18's from Spain, Tornado F-3's, GR-4's and ECR's. And Mirage fighters in every size and shape, mixed with some rather rare colorfull paintschemes.
Italy was present with only two AMX aircrafts from the 13 Gruppo, based at Amendola - Foggia. France on the other hand had a rather large delegation send to Florennes, with two Mirage 2000N's of the EC03.004, based at Istres - Le Tubé. Also two Mirage 2000D's of the EC02.003, based at Nancy - Ochey, and two Mirage F-1CR's of the ER01/02.033, based at Reims - Champagne where present. Norway was present with four F-16AM Fighting falcons, with one special detailed Norwegian F-16AM "665", with "5000 flying hours" painted in the tail. Also where all F-16's equipped with the IRIS-T AAM under the wing and PANTERA pod under the engine intake. The USAF was present with two F-15C's of the 48 FW/493 FS.
Furthermore was the German Airforce present with four Tornado ECR's of the JBG 32, based at Nörvenich. Spain was present with two F/A-18C Hornets of the Ala 46/462 Esc, based at Las Palmas - Gando. The RAF was present with two Tornado F3's of the 111 Squadron, based at RAF Leuchars, and two Tornado GR.4's of the 31 & 9 squadron, both based at RAF Marham. One of the Tornado GR.4's was marked with a large "Goldstar" in the tail, due to the 90th anniversary last year. And last but certainly not least was the presence of two HAF F-16AM's of the 115 PM/340 Mira, based at Chania/Soúda.
