The third edition of the 2006 Tactical Leadership Programme started of with some nice and rare participants. With some unstable weather in the last weeks, the photography opportunities where not the best. During my visit was the weather not the best with a lot of clouds and rain, however was the sun shining every now and than during take-off and landing. This provided some spectacular backgrounds for the photographs, also due the fact the gras next to the runway and taxi track was not mown.

This year the TLP 2006-03 started at 8th May, with the first arrivals at the 5th of May. The first session was planned from the 10 May till the 19th of May, for the second session the external assets arrived at Florennes on the 19th of May. Most remarkable and striking aircraft's where the EF-18A Hornets normally based at the Gando-Las Palmas airbase, and the two Mirage F-1M's from the Spanish airforce.

Deployed for the TLP 2006-03 where two FAF Mirage F-1CT's from the EC02.030 based at Colmar - Meyenheim, and two FN Super Etendards from the 11 Flotile based at Landivisiau. Italy was present with two Tornado IDS's from the 156 Gruppo based at Brescia - Ghedi, while Greece send four F-4E-PAU Phantoms of the 339 MPK based at Andravída. Spain had send two Mirage F-1M's from the Ala 14 based at Albacete - Los Llanos, and two F/A-18A Hornets from the 462 Esc. based at Las Palmas-Gando.

The Royal AirForce was present with six Tornado F-3's from the 111sq based at RAF Leuchars, and four Tornado GR4's from the 14Sq & 31Sq. To finish the list, was the USAF present with two F-16C Fighting Falcons from the 52 FW/22 FS based at Spangdahlem, and four F-15E Strike Eagle's from the 48 FW/492 FS. Photographing was great with a almost picturesque and more than colourful background.
