On the 2nd of July a airshow was organized by the Base Aérienne 103 at Cambrai. The weather at the time of the airshow was perfect, with a blue sky and the sun in your back the whole day, the Cambrai airshow could be very nicely photographed. No very big names where anounced for this airshow, however with the invitation of the Swiss PC-7 Team and the Breitling Jet Team some very tight and impressive display flying was showed by both teams. Also the participation of the Belgium and Dutch F-16 solo display teams where among the highlights of this airshow. The organisation of this airshow had organised a very nice mix of fast jets, golden oldie warbirds and slow and fast display teams. The French pride was translated into several fly-by's from an E-3F AWACS, a 5 ship of Mirage 2000C's, the C-160 Transall, a handfull of choppers and a formation flight of the Mirage 2000C and Alpha Jet solo display teams.

Photographing of the airshow was easy, due the fact the aircrafts flew close to the crowd line. Take-off and landing however was just a little to far for good photographs. I left the airshow early due the long stay on the tarmac in combination with the very hot temperatures of over 30 degrees, and missed therefore the Patrouille de France. Overall a surprising airshow with lots of French "hardware".
