I’m very saddened to receive today’s news that Amanda Franklin passed away after a long fight. After my previous post, I had high hopes of a speedy recovery.

What can you say else after this news…

Wishing Amanda blue skies and rest in peace.

After I met Kyle and Amanda Franklin at the CAF Airshow in 2010, and witnessed their awesome “Pirated Skies” wing walking act during both days. I was shocked to hear today the horrible news of the crash during the Air Fiesta 2011 in Brownsville, Texas.

I’m not getting into detail of the whole accident, or the injuries of both. Only want to mention that Kyle showed why he is a great pilot, and by this giving Amanda just enough time to climb back into the aircraft when the engine failed. As she was strapped on top of the wing, she managed to unstrap and climb back into the cockpit in just seconds before the crash.

Hope both will have a speedy recovery. Get well soon, and keep fighting Amanda.
