Fly-In Zoersel – Photoreport

Wednesday, December 28th, 2011

Hello all,

It took ages, but here is the first 2011 photo report…

During the weekend of 20 & 21 August 2011 the second photo flying day was held, in combination with a fly-in. Resulting in a amount of highly interesting aircraft. Photographing the aircraft during flight is almost impossible due to the bad light, while facing the sun almost the whole day. For static photography on the other hand is it a very interesting event, especially with the “clean” environment and background, which results in a more natural look without fences.

For all days the organisation gathered some very interesting aircraft, with a hand full of highlights in the shape of the always beautiful P-40N Kittyhawk “F-AZKU” and the very rare Sikorsky S-38, a twin-engined 8-seat amphibious aircraft.

All reviewed a nice, and every year growing event.

Now online, a small photo report in the new website style. Gallery Link

CAF Airsho 2010 – Photo report

Saturday, November 13th, 2010

Hello all,

During the weekend of 08 till 10 October the yearly “CAF Airsho” took place over the Midland Airport in the North-East corner of Texas, U.S.A. The “CAF Airsho” was already a long time on my wish list, as the organization behind this show has one of the largest flying warbird collections in the world. I therefore made the long trip this year to Texas.

Highlights for this show are to many to name, personal highlights for me are the SB2C Helldiver, B-29 Super Fortress “FIFI“, B-24 Liberator, P-51C-10NT “Tuskegee Airman“, PBJ-1J “Devil Dog“, Curtis-Wright C-46 Commando “The Tinker Belle“ and the PV-2 Harpoon “Attu Warrior“. Do I have to say more about the mentioned aircraft, a overwhelming and awesome collection of great aircraft if you are addicted to Warbirds as I do.

Anyway, now online a photograph collection of 84 photographs in the “flying” topic.

And 44 photographs online in the “static” topic.

Have a look, and I hope you enjoy the photographs.

Göteborg Aero Show – Photo report

Saturday, September 11th, 2010

Hello all,

During the weekend of 29 & 30 August the yearly returning Aero Show was held over the grounds of the Göteborg/Säve City Airport. Host of this “small”, but more than impressive airshow is the AeroMuseum. Located inside the remains of the Cold Ware era, a underground hangar caved away inside the rocky landscape, holds this museum a excellent collection of aircraft. Reason enough for me to head to Sweden.

The show was loaded with highlights, I mean…. during what airshow can you see a flying J-35 Draken, J-32 Lansen, J-29 Flygande Tunnan, HKP 4 Sea Knight and a smoking display by the Frecce Tricolori.

The weather was on the other hand kind of challenging, as some rain passed during both days, and the more than perfect puffy clouds blocked the sun during some displays. Which made photographing more than challenging.

Have a look, and I hope you enjoy the photographs.

Flying Legends…the days after…

Thursday, July 22nd, 2010

Hello all,

I had finally some time to publish the photo report on the always awesome Flying Legends airshow, at the historic Duxford airfield in the United Kingdom. As mentioned in my previous post before the show, a lot of very promising aircraft made their appearance. With for me again a lot of highlights, like the F-4U Corsair, I-16 RATA, three ship A-1 Skyraiders, the blue Sea Fury and the Bearcat back from the stable.

Of course lots more great aircraft in the air, which you can view in the photo report. Many thanks to Esther & Gabriela, for their support and effort, is much appreciated.

Have a look, and I hope you enjoy the photographs.
